The church is barely visible behind the tree on the right. The
original rectory was donated by William West Durant in 1882.
Edward Bierstadt also held
an 1876 patent for an improvement to the Stereoscope Viewer, used for the
extensive body of stereographs created by the Bierstadt brothers.
