Original painting is now the property of theAdirondack MuseumBlue Mountain Lake, NYEhninger was an important chronicler of American life, including October, Yankee Peddler and his interpretation of Washington's First Interview with Mrs. Custis, which took place in May 1758. George and Martha were married in January 1759.
